Njardvik is one of the regions leading fishing harbours, with the Reykjanes Fish Market only few yards away, and good wharf area. Virtually on the quay side, and there is an ice factory delivering ice to fishing boats at the quay side, and to other destinations in Reykjanes.

In the wharf area there are cooling freezing-stores and a good storage area for containers. The Nardvik Shipyard is close by and other service oriented industries or the shipping fleet. The longest quay at Njardvik harbour stretches up to 130m with a draft of 7.5 to 9m.
